Internet Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for working with the Marketing team to develop the organization’s Web and mobile and digital communication strategies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

  • Responsible for working with the Marketing team to develop the organization’s Web and mobile and digital communication strategies
  • Manages relationships with internal divisions and third party agencies to ensure that all online systems are developed, deployed and maintained on-schedule, on-budget and to the highest standards of excellence
  • Manages prospect database for digital communication and oversees omni-channel communications
  • Works with the Vice President of Interactive Gaming to develop strategy for all online initiatives
  • Manages priority and workflow of departmental projects relating to web and mobile app development
  • Understanding and optimizing user conversion marketing funnel, and web analytics goals
  • Assists with developing and implementing the marketing strategy for online programs
  • Accountable for all public websites and micro-sites as well as mobile apps, in-room tablet content, and prospect forms.
  • Guides and directs internet marketing activities, including website development, search engine optimization and email campaigns
  • Reports on measures, analysis and the effectiveness of internet marketing activities
  • Analyzes team members in the development of online creative ideas, campaigns and advertising on a national level
  • Ensures that online issues are effectively anticipated and addressed and appropriate actions are taken to solve problems
  • Develops programs for supporting internal clients to help publicize and generate participation in on-property events

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the IT team to ensure that online platforms are appropriately integrated with the backend operations systems
  • Works on special projects and performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Five years of online marketing, and digital messaging (texts, email, app notifications) experience including knowledge of SEO in a corporate marketing or agency environment
  • PPC advertising experience preferred
  • Knowledge of leading edge, online sales and marketing techniques and technologies
  • Must have experience managing technical teams and agencies for the development, deployment and maintenance of online media and marketing platforms designed to drive visits and build business
  • Previous experience should demonstrate progressive responsibilities including a track record of managing complex, high volume work streams as a project leader and/or team member, preferably in a dynamic, high-pressure culture demanding high quality thinking and output on a timely basis
  • Experience with web design best practices, browser compatibility testing and delivering content to multiple platforms, including mobile web technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, nine years of online marketing (text, email and app notifications) and knowledge of SEO in a corporate marketing or agency environment may be considered

Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

  • A strong negotiator, self-starter and detail-oriented team member
  • Basic understanding of the MGE budget process
  • Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment

Training Requirements:

  • Knowledge of MGE corporate and department policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of web publishing languages (i.e. PHP, HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of Ascent, EmpowerTime and Manager Self Service systems

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Office work environment
  • Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
