Job Description

 Modus Outcomes brings the patient voice to clinical research. We design meaningful outcome measures based on the experience of patients to optimize decision-making about the development, commercialization and use of medical products. Our team is growing, with 12 members in the US and 32 globally.

You will work directly with the research consultants and the management team on business development activities, liaising directly with clients, reporting on business development activities, and managing request for proposals and follow-up. You will also be in charge of the execution of our marketing plan.

Your responsibilities:

Client communication and visits

• Establish and maintain client relationships
• Follow up on inquiries from clients about new work
• Organize calls with clients and onsite client visits for business development purposes
• Organize meetings with clients during conferences/congresses
• Organize client workshops (approximately two per year)

Internal business development meetings

• Update matrix on business development activities
• Follow-up on actions decided

From RFP to proposals

• Centralize requests for proposals (RFPs) and disseminate to management team
• Ensure proper and timely process for developing and submitting proposals
• Gather company capabilities and experience to inform the development of proposals
• Gather and record client feedback on unsuccessful proposal bids and satisfaction with our proposal process
• Organize scoping calls, pitches, and bid defense calls/meetings


• Maintain and update our client database

Marketing activities

• Centralize and update news to support marketing material
• Lead activities for the development of marketing material
• Post news and marketing material on social media and website
• Email content marketing

Trend analysis

• Research into pharmaceutical markets, industry trends, and product pipelines to identify new business leads and inform our BD strategy

Your skills:


• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS/BSc) or Master’s degree (MA/MS/MSc) or equivalent
• A clear understanding of the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries
• Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, centered on good listening skills with an ability to manage expectations
• Excellent MS Office® skills
• CRM skills


• 2-5 years’ experience within pharma/HEOR field
