JOB TITLE: Express Lube Technician DEPARTMENT: Service REPORTS TO: Service Manager / Shop Foreman SUMMARY: This position is responsible for lubricating vehicle engine parts and wheel bearings; replacing air, oil, cabin, and fuel filters. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Applies lubricants to the moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance.Lubricates wheel bearings to prevent excessive tire wear.Performs engine cleanings to prevent rust formation.Replaces cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.Performs tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.Tests tire pressure and adding air as needed.inspects customers’ vehicles for oil leaks.Makes recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections.Notifies the Service Advisor when vehicle maintenance or servicing cannot be completed within scheduled timeframes.Performs other related duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Valid Driver’s License.Computer skills required: Reynolds and Reynolds DMS, Google Workspace (GMAIL, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Meet)Other skills required: Acute attention to detail.Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.Commitment to excellence and high standards.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Ability to manage priorities and workflow.Ability to act professionally with customers and resolve issues.Recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems.
