Job Description

Hours: 5AM - 1PM

Hours can and will vary depending on job needs

Summary:

Ensure that work orders are complete, correct and prepared according to the production schedule.Supervise and direct the activities of Fulfillment, Material Management, and the scheduling of work order kit preparation in compliance with established work instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Ensure that work orders are prepared thoroughly and accurately in advance to ensure the Production Schedule is met
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Fulfillment Department: ensuring that employees issue materials correctly based on requirements to maintain production flow
  • Ensure compliance to Fulfillment Department work instructions to maintain correct part inventories and accurate documentation
  • Assign tickets to Fulfillment Specialist
  • Seek efficient ways to minimize material picking and counting times
  • Maintain and/or implement programs, policies, and procedures to support the Fulfillment Department
  • Continuous improvement and support with cross training Fulfillment Specialist, material handlers and leads
  • Coordinate with Material Management regarding the transfer of inventory ensuring accuracy of the delivery location, quantity of materials, and expediting resolution of shortages
  • Track inventory from multiple locations against the upcoming Production Schedule
  • Ensure parts are ordered in advance from in-house stores/replenishment centers
  • Investigate and resolves discrepancies in kitted work orders
  • Maintain accurate records of activities/metrics and prepare reports
  • Communicate issues that could result in process delays, safety issues, or other potential loss to the company or its associates
  • Performs Safety training for the employees in a timely manner and monitors Fulfillment area for potential hazards
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Company policies and procedures
  • Ensure area of operations is monitored and maintained to meet component cleanliness and safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 – 3+ years of manufacturing/materials supervisory experience preferred
  • Communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, using spoken and written English (Spanish fluency a plus)
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and work under time constraints
  • Review and analyze production inventory reports for opportunities/challenges regarding continuous improvement
  • Define problems and collect data
  • Basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measurements and critical thinking, to solve practical problems
  • Must have leadership skills and be able to effectively supervise and motivate team members
  • Able to work efficiently on computers and proficient in excel
  • Supports Safety Committee and participates as requested or needed
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety oriented

Physical Requirements:

  • Proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending
  • Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity, and coordination
  • Requires near visual acuity
  • Working around and operating departmental equipment
  • Access and navigate each department in the facility
  • Ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances
