JOB DETAILS
Mitchell Hamline School of Law is seeking to hire a full-time Network Administrator. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for the planning, managing, maintaining, and securing the College's wired and wireless network and infrastructure operations including local and wide area network equipment and technologies. Performs full range of installation, monitoring, maintenance and modification of routers, switches, firewalls, data communication software and other systems utilities. Ensure stability and integrity of data, communication/voice, and video network services, and manage telecom/VOIP systems.

Prerequisite:
To be eligible for this position, you must have obtained a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field; AND three (3) years of professional network and infrastructure management experience; OR an Associate degree and equivalent/combination of education, training and experience.
Previous experience with responsibility for designing, building, and maintaining the Local and Wide Area Network infrastructure. IT security, and telecom/VOIP systems. Consisting of servers, routers, internet gateway and firewalls. Also, a minimum of 3 years of project management experience designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise-wide infrastructure and applications.

Knowledge/Skill/Ability:
- Configure, manage, and maintain a secure local and wide area network infrastructure including router, firewalls, switches.
- Manage enterprise wireless infrastructure system including controllers and access points.
- Project management principles and practices.
- Interdependence of software and hardware operating in a multi-functioning, multi-user network environment.
- Principles, practices and techniques in the installation and maintenance of hardware and software in an integrated network environment.
- Concepts and capabilities of computer operation platforms.
- Use of network and host management tools and problem analysis techniques, gathering network information, operating system commands, systems integration, and data communications.
- Knowledge of Cisco Unified CM, Cisco Unity, and unified communication.
- Knowledge and ability to secure IT infrastructure e.g. IDS/IPS. URL filtering, and ACL.
- Cloud computing, hosting technology and solutions (e.g., IAAS, PAAS, SAAS, AWS, Azure).
- Excellent understanding of Cisco hardware and configuration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with end users to deliver strategic solutions.
- Certification in Cisco and other security like Cisco, security certification like CCNA, CISSP, CompTIA, (ISC)2 is preferred.
