Job TitleSr. Bank Reconciliation AnalystJob Description SummaryThis critical supervisor role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of bank reconciliations and activity for lockbox accounts and depository accounts in accordance with SOX guidelines. Must ensure that cash amounts in a company's accounting ledgers agree with bank balances.Sr. Bank Reconciliation Analyst also ensures and manages that guidelines and policies around cash processes are adequate and effective, and that such policies prevent significant errors in cash balance calculations. Must be able to remedy any accounting ledger related to cash transaction and have knowledge on how that impacts company s books. This position also reviews the company's bank accounts, checks balances against ledger amounts and verifies that such amounts agree to financial statement. A typical account reconciliation occurs at month end, but this position would work on weekly reconciliation with FSC to facilitate quicker month end process.In addition, they will be expected to work closely with other senior members of the Finance Department, including the America s Finance Manager, and the Finance Service Center - FSC Accenture BPO and develop relationships in the global Finance Department, particularly with respect to resolving reconciliation issues.Job Description - Full accountability to prepare and manage bank reconciliations in accordance with SOX guidelines. Ensure guidelines are adhered to and process are adequate and effective. - Review general ledger transactions against bank statements to ensure accuracy of entries submitted, properly research discrepancies and resolve through proper entry to the GL. Strong accounting knowledge to ensure proper treatment is required. - Resolve all reconciliation differences timely per SOX guidelines. Research within accounting systems and cross functional team required. Must have strong accounting knowledge to identify proper treatment of items. Must determine if resolution should be operationally or not and fully understand the implications of entry. - Work with FSC to ensure accuracy of customer payments into lockbox and ensure any discrepancies are corrected and addressed promptly, knowledge of operations and GL entries. Ability to communicate effectively to FSC to correct and modify entries to ensure company balances are correct. - Assist with training related to cash deposits cross-functionally and reviewing cash application to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. - Compile list of reconciliation issues and monitor process until able to be resolved. Must ensure issues are resolved timely. - Performs other related duties as required or requested.Requirements - Three to five years of experience - College Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field requiredSpecialized Knowledge/Skills - Fluent in Finance systems Workday preferred, but not required - Intermediate to Advanced level Excel skills - Knowledge of cash application system or equivalent knowledge of similar type of platform - Bank reconciliation experience with large volumes of activityCushman and Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
