Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager is responsible for the management of a wide range of general clerical, accounting and bookkeeping support functions within the Company in order to allow for continued growth in operational efficiencies. This includes but is not limited to overseeing the accounts payable/receivable, daily and monthly sales reconciliations, various data entry tasks, cash and credit reconciliations, invoice tracking and entry, and restaurant inventory collection. This position will directly report to the Vice President.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and deliver enhanced internal accounting and reconciliation processes to ensure improved efficiency, operations, and profitability.

·        Strengthen supplier and service provider relationships, ensuring timely payments and addressing conflicts as they arise.

·        Create and maintain effective framework and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for managing both improved internal accounting processes

·        Manage and process all vendor invoices and ensure integrity of all payments.

·        Administer and maintain records of good sales receipts and maintain knowledge of order issues.

·        Manage and reconcile accounts with suppliers monthly and maintain records of all payment status

·        Manage, reconcile, and supervise processes for monthly corporate expense card statements.

·        Manage all journal entries and analyze all ledger accounts and reconcile all statements for monthly closing.

·        Perform root cause analysis when required and prepare corrective entries.

·        Maintain proper fixed assets lists of payment for taxes and budget preparation.

·        Assist other departments in managing queries for various accounts payable

·        Analyze accounting systems, identify any inaccuracies and recommend improvement measures to all.

·        Evaluate all check requests and monitor all invoices for accuracy.

·        Monitor all journal entries and analyze all prepaid expenses and prepare regular reports.

·        Communicate discrepancies and anomalies to appropriate relevant individual and follow through on the direction to research causes and take corrective action.

•    Invoice, track, and ensure that receivables are collected promptly.
•    Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
•    Organize and maintain company documents including sales reports, invoices, and payment receipts.

·        Generate reports as requested by the Vice President and Executive Leadership.

• Maintains Company confidence and protects operations by keeping accounting and banking information confidential.
• Perform ad hoc financial and accounting analysis and projects to management as requested.

• Work with external CPA team to ensure correct and timely closing and tax reporting at year-end
• Any and all activities deemed dependent on or relevant to position as requested.

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP

• Advanced MS Office and QuickBooks Accountant Software
•  Experience in the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry an advantage 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE EQUIVALENCY:
Two years of the appropriate type and level of experience will serve as an equivalency to one year of education.

Scheduled hours can vary by accounting needs, including necessary adjustments made during high and low seasonal changes. Travel up to 10%. Weekly, candidates should expect to work up to 45 hours a week. We are a 24/7, 365 operation. The successful candidate must be able to pass a background check with our company, with the TSA, a drug screen, and be insurable with a valid driver’s license.
