Mission is seeking a customer service driven IT Support Technician-I to join our IT Department at our Boerne manufacturing plant location. Schedule: Monday-Wednesday: 7:00am -5:30pm; Thursday: 7:00am – 5:00pm.

The IT Support Technician-I is responsible for:

• Providing onsite and remote end-user support with technical issues on client computers in a Windows environment. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.

• Answering telephone calls and responding to email and work order requests for technical support.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responds to telephone calls, email, personnel requests and assigned tickets for end-user support. Documents, tracks and monitors ticketing system to ensure timely resolution.

2. Set up, installs, analyzes, troubleshoot, and resolves PC hardware, software, cabling, printer, and other PC peripheral problems.

3. Inventories equipment and assists in maintaining accountability of IT equipment. Assist in tracking of computing assets by accurately recording, identifying, and updating records and assets in a timely manner throughout the entire asset lifecycle of all existing and newly acquired computing assets.

4. Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with others, and works independently with some direction. Takes guidance from IT Director on work assignments, troubleshooting methods, and other duty-related issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have high school diploma or General Education Equivalent (GED) plus knowledge of intermediate computer software programs and system maintenance.
  • Must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have strong verbal communication skills.

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; and occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places, risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
