Maintenance Mechanic

Mission Foods is hiring a talented Maintenance Mechanic in our Fife, Washington Plant.

General Summary:

Repairs, installs and perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure that such equipment is always in good operable condition. Use electrical and mechanical expertise to trouble shoot, repair, install and perform preventive and interactive maintenance on all production equipment accessories to ensure that all equipment is always in good operable condition.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installs, operates, maintains, checks, and trouble-shoots 3 phase and single-phase electrical equipment, also all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment.
• Installs, operates, maintains, and checks all types of mechanical equipment as directed
• Use safe working practices and always reports all hazardous conditions.
• Inspect machines, take any required test, and completes “all” reports and paperwork as required for company record.
• Machine parts using lathe and mill when necessary due to breakdown, or as directed by supervision.
• Must adhere to and obey all plant safety rules and regulations and wear all personal protective equipment as directed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Possess functional knowledge of lubricants for all types of machines and performs necessary lubrication of production machines as directed.
• Possess functional working knowledge of dust and fume collectors and performs necessary repairs on these items as directed.
• Functional knowledge in electricity, welding, PLC, mechanical, etc.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Communication Skills, computer and good math skills
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred

Education & Experience:

• 4 years of industrial maintenance/electrical experience required
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
