AMAZING FULL-TIME JOB FOR THE PERSON WHO LOVES TO HELP OTHERS. We are a small business in Laurel, MD. There are 6 of us working in the office currently, and we are seeking one more full-time colleague. We love to have fun (you may be armed with a dart gun on your first day), and office singing will happen occasionally. Most importantly our utmost passion is the work we do for our customers.

Our customers are homeowners. We are building healthier homes and enabling our customers a better life and sharing it with their family, friends, and their community. We are changing the HVAC Industry from box swamping (equipment) to the house as a system. We are on our way to making this the model for the HVAC and Home Performance industry.

We are a team-based culture with employee participation on all levels. We operate per our operation manuals that have chapters for each position. We train our team members on the systems we use in our in-house training center and have continuous training throughout the year. Each employee meets the required minimum hours of training by the end of each year.

If this is the job that gets you so excited that you would even do it for free, we would totally accept that offer from you. Though if you prefer compensation (and we totally get it..., we prefer getting paid too), this is what we offer: This is a full-time job. The pay is a combination of a salary and performance pay up to $52,000 a year, though could be higher if you are a Rock Star. The hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM and rotation to be on-call after hours.

Now, a little bit about what we need from you:

  • You need to be an individual who is very personable and loves listening (yes, listening) and guiding people on completing tasks. Bubbly personalities wanted.
  • You need to be comfortable working in a small, and occasionally loud office (Summer and Winter months are busy months and the phone is ringing off the hook)
  • You need to have at least 3-years of customer service experience,
  • You must be detailed oriented and a person that follows systems and processes. In fact, just to prove that you are detailed oriented and can follow procedures when you apply for this position in the subject line of the email you send you must include "MIN2020" in the subject line. Yep, that's our little trick to sort out the people who blanket send their resume to anyone and everyone, from the folks (that's you) who are truly interested in this position.
  • You must be thirsty to learn about our vision. We will give you some (fun) books to read on the subjects. So, if you don't like learning or reading about small business or personal/ business this will be a headache for both of us.
  • You must want to become a master at encouraging one another's strengths and looking out for weaknesses that can be handled more effectively by another member of the team. The entire team takes responsibility for reducing "drag" for any individual team member.
