Inside International Sales Representative

Summary

The International Sales Representative is responsible for managing a wide range of international sales activities direct with customers through distributors. This capital equipment sales position will include maintaining existing sales inset regions of the world while exploring into new markets. International growth of Miller Weldmaster products and sales will be the main part of this position. This position will be in an in-house sales position located at our office in Navarre, Ohio.

Essential functions

  • In house sales position to drive sales direct and in partnership with International Partners
  • Develop and implement an effective sales strategy to drive incremental growth
  • Global view and the ability to drive global initiatives
  • Conduct market research and analyze companies for potential sales
  • Develop new customer and partner relationships as well as grow existing business relationships
  • Deliver presentations of products at customer sites, conferences and international exhibitions
  • Meet annual sales targets
  • Maintain company contact management database with accurate up to date contact and activity details of international customers and partners
  • Identify international sales prospects in new and current markets
  • Visiting existing customers and prospecting to potential customers internationally (10% travel time), all international markets; becoming knowledgeable about their businesses and building relationships; learning to identify production equipment needs across all industries
  • Working and building relationships with potential customers through trade shows; staffing booth and holding appointments; networking with industry reps; keeping updated with current materials and machinery; attending after-hours industry events with vendors and client; following-up on leads during and after the tradeshow
  • Using online tools such as email marketing applications, contact databases, and social media monitoring tools to generate leads
  • Following-up on leads from potential and current customers; forwarding information and recommending equipment and services that can fit their specific needs
  • Discovering and identifying business opportunities
  • Quoting machinery and services to potential customers once a solution is identified
  • Expertly negotiate with customers; balance sales goals and company interests to produce short and long-term outcomes; achieve company quotas
  • Closing sales; converting opportunities into closed sales. Achieving on-target conversion rate
  • Accurately analyzing and effectively managing complex sales cycles including sales dollar and unit forecasts
  • Creating sound plans to develop and manage territories to achieve periodic and annual goals
  • Receiving and entering samples for potential customers; accurately communicating customer expectations regarding welded samples; sending completed samples to the customer and following-up
  • Giving tours and serving customers during demonstrations; explaining machine processes and benefits; providing an educational and First Choice Customer Experience; providing after-hours customer entertainment as needed
  • Being a team player by helping sales employees who are out of the office; getting information to potential customers including machine recommendation, quotes, demo scheduling, pre-installs, etc., as needed

Qualifications/Preferences

  • An associates or bachelors degree in Sales/Marketing are preferred but not required.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with sales and/or service management are a must.
  • Excellent oral communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to meet goals and work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Leadership experience is essential including the following skills:
