Instructional Design Position
Miller Creative (MC), we are corporate storytellers.
We are a team that uses video, instructor/web-based learning and immersive technology, to transform our client’s communication and training solutions. Through storytelling we create interactive solutions that help our customers effectively engage and train employees and market their services.
We are seeking qualified Instructional Designers to join our team to help us create learning solutions that cover a broad media landscape, such as video and instructor/web-based learning. We are looking for candidates who can create and develop innovative solutions that help us offer our clients a suite of comprehensive communication and training solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in technology, education, or a related field is required
Master’s degree in instructional design, education or a related field is strongly preferred.
5+ years’ experience developing and delivering instructor-led, web-based and video training.
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience with instructional design theory and Adult Learning Principles.
Proven ability to develop engaging and effective training curriculum to provide essential knowledge and enhance user adoption, across numerous platforms and mediums.
Experience with Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
Multimedia development experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Instructional Designer is responsible for
Working with subject matter experts and clients to collect necessary information to design and develop blended education solutions.
Conducting learning/training-needs assessments.
Developing course objectives and design plans based on assessment results.
Utilizing current learning principles/concepts, instructional design theory and training techniques to support creation and implementation of custom education programs.
Designing/developing/implementing training instructor-led, web-based and blended learning solutions.
Creating engaging instructor-led, web-based, mobile and blended learning solutions and other instructional related documentation and deliverables.
Visualizing instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
Creating supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
Participating in content creation, review, revision, and sign-off cycles.
Creating Facilitator and Learning Guides when necessary.
Conducting train-the-trainer sessions and field training delivery, and track and report on the efficacy of that training.
Conceptualizing and developing evaluation measures, including knowledge checks, course evaluations, and tests.
Assisting with the development and distribution of operational communications.
Building and maintaining customer (both internal and external) relationships by consistently delivering exceptional content, delivery, and service.
