Senior Account Manager - Immediate Hire

Senior Account Manager (SAM) must have agency experience and builds solid relationships with key clients to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and success. MUST have a sales and growth focus.

They utilize company resources or outside resources to develop and implement strategic solutions to achieve key clients’ long-term goals. The SAM is a can-do person and typically manages a portfolio of accounts and are responsible for building strong client relationships, developing account management strategies, coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet clients' needs, and identifying opportunities to grow accounts.

This person is responsible for retaining and growing client accounts, and handles and oversees the coordination of agency projects and exercises judgment and discretion to keep projects delivered on time and under budget. This individual can set priorities and adapt to changing situations quickly. Must be able to develop and execute strategies that drive traffic and generate leads. To be successful, you should be able to collaborate with the marketing team to develop innovative ideas, be detailed oriented, task driven and focused on client satisfaction. The focus is on customer retention, revenue growth, and relationship growth to measure the success of their clients’ portfolios.

Client Relations

  • Develop and sustain relationships with key clients with a focus on growth and retention
  • Plan budgets and activities for account management in the company
  • Serve as the point of contact for customers in your portfolio
  • Understand customer requirements to offer solutions
  • Provides strategy to clients, and upsells to help grow their business
  • Works with CEO/Sales to create contracts for new business
  • Understands key clients' needs and requirements and prepare customized solutions.

Staff Development

  • Set up goals and objectives for all subordinate staff.
  • Provide feedback and counsel to account staff to meet quotas/objectives.
  • Conduct performance evaluation setting KPIs - key metrics.
  • Provides direction and guidance on overall client activities.
  • Leads and supports staff in their daily activities and projects to achieve client goals.
  • Maintains understanding and oversight of all agency staff, processes, and projects.
  • Reports on account progress, goals, and forecasts for account teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensures that milestone steps in the process are approved on schedule.

Project Management

  • Ensures all projects, including account managers, are completed on time, and on budget.
  • Handles all intake of project, schedules project and ensures on time delivery.
  • Point of contact for all clients, working with the CEC who has a direct connect between the client and the team
  • Acts as the main point of contact between key clients and internal teams.
  • Handles and/or oversees brand oversight, creative and content writing, and strategy execution.
  • Guides the day-to-day development, quality, and internal prioritization of all client projects.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience as an agency Account Manager preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, or related field.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and/or relevant software
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiation and meeting client requirements
  • Develops and maintains client onboarding procedures, ensures timely roll-in of all new clients.
  • Demonstrates exceptional presentation skills and be able to work well under pressure.
  • Detailed, focused on deliverables and meeting deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and reporting on progress
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and metrics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with aptitude in fostering relationships.
  • Proven content strategy and project management experience.
  • Sound knowledge of content management systems, keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM).
  • The ability to work under pressure and is a problem solver to achieve client goals.
  • Excellent analytical skills, and exceptional marketing and collaborative skills.
