Milestone Behavioral Health, located in Yardley, PA, is seeking candidates for the Behavior Specialist Consultant (BSC) and Mobile Therapist (MT) roles in the BHRS system. BHRS (Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services) is a community based mental health program that provides behavioral and emotional support to children and adolescents in their homes, schools, and other community settings.

The BSC is the lead clinician on the treatment team. The BSC is a consultant to members involved in the child (client’s) life. These members can include: parent, teacher or coach. A BSC will develop the treatment plan, with behavioral goals to support the need of the child. The BSC will monitor the interventions delivered by all treatment team members, as well as work with the parents to monitor and identify ongoing behavioral needs in the child. This position has potential clinical supervision of Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS) as prescribed.

The BSC position requires individuals that are client-focused, team-oriented, great inter-personal and communication skills, dependable, problem solving skills, organizational skills, focused on compliance and performance quality. The requirements listed below are representative of the skills and/or abilities required.

The MT position requires individuals to provide intensive therapy services to a child and family in settings other than a provider agency or office. Settings include the child’s home, in particular. Other potential settings include the school, the church, the community center, a neighbor’s or extended family member’s home, and other community settings. Services provided by a mobile therapist vary according to the individualized needs of a child and family and always includes the child as a participant in his/her own treatment as well as parent and other caretakers as members of the treatment team.

The MT provides child-centered, family-focused individual and family psychotherapy to address the defined problem areas in the treatment plan, is available for aid in crisis intervention and collaborates with child, family and other involved professionals to develop a crisis plan that can include behavioral contracts with the child and lists of community and therapeutic resources, maintains contact with other members of the treatment team and assists in the implementation of the treatment plan. MT also helps develop daily routines, which will enhance the treatment approach indicated in the treatment plan, documents collateral contacts with family and other entities involved with client treatment in his/her progress notes, ensures that services provided to the child and family is unified and that there is continuity of care, and assesses strengths and therapeutic needs of child and family by using active listening, asking questions, and an exchange of information.

BSC Education/Experience Credentials:

· Licensed Doctoral Level Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Psychologist or:

· Other Masters-level mental health clinician with documented training in the field of Behavior Modification techniques

· Two (2) years preferred, verified post-Masters experience providing mental health treatment to children without BSL license and one (1) year of experience involving functional behavioral assessment of individuals under 21 years of age, including the development and implementation of behavioral supports or treatment plans with BSL license.

· One year experience using behavior analysis/modification techniques

· BSC PA license preferred.

· Required Clearances: Child Abuse, PA State Criminal Check, FBI fingerprint, First Aid/CPR, Mandated Reporting certification, Liability Insurance

MT Education/Experience Credentials:

· Licensed Doctoral Level Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Psychologist or:

· The Mobile Therapist will have a Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health discipline such as Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing and Marriage and Family/Therapy.

· At least 1-2 years post-master experience preferred providing psychotherapy/counseling to children.

· Required Clearances: Child Abuse, PA State Criminal Check, FBI fingerprint, First Aid/CPR, Mandated Reporting certification, Liability Insurance
