Summary:The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) is responsible for leading the day to day marketing efforts for a pre-determined Division/Region of MileOne. In this instance, we are looking for an RMM to lead our largest division, Heritage. The RMM, along with their Regional Marketing team direct reports, will lead the planning of the clients' short and long-term marketing strategies along with the execution of all marketing programs, events and sponsorships designed to achieve the Division's goals. In addition, the RMM will maintain contact with all levels of management within their assigned Division, specifically the Division President, Division Directors and General Managers. This individual should also be able to recognize additional opportunities to enhance and grow the business.Job Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of an annual Marketing Plan for the assigned Division. Guide day-to-day development of marketing activities with approved plans inclusive of goals and projected results. Ensure that progressive stages of the work are approved with adequate time to meet schedules. Also, obtain approvals from OEM compliance and legal where required. Lead pre-determined planning meetings for the Division and marketing support (Creative, Business Intelligence, Communications, Ecommerce, Digital Marketing) while remaining responsible for development of promotional themes, approvals and the execution thereof. Initiate the development of marketing activities in accordance with objectives, data to support recommendations and budgets. Work with BI to develop testing parameters along with measurement (KPIs) and reporting of results to team members. Work with BI/Analytics team to measure results for all programs and set up a subsequent testing matrix with the goal of enhancing new and existing programs. Develop reporting mechanism to inform marketing team and appropriate Division team members of all program results and recommendations for next steps. Drive the development of advertising and marketing activities in accordance with objectives and budget including campaigns to be used and creative approach to be taken. Initiate planning that leads to execution of marketing activities. Maintain and adhere to MileOne brand standards for all creative materials within their region. Work with senior Sales and Service Management to establish resource needs. Work with Sr. Marketing Director and CMO to develop the annual marketing plan inclusive of objectives. Effectively present the Marketing Department's decisions, recommendations and creative product to Division leadership. Develop and demonstrate a clear, comfortable, persuasive presentation style using historical information, available data, analytics, CRM reports, PIPO reports and more for both formal and informal presentations. Be well-rehearsed and prepared for the unexpected. Ability to work with BI to set KPIs so that we are achieving desired results while maintaining the defined corporate goal for advertising as a percentage of gross budget. Supervise and help to grow the marketing team within their direct area of responsibility. Expose them to all aspects of the business, marketing plans and results and develop relationships and recommendations for the stores. Takes responsibility for the success or failure of direct reports. Motivates and encourages direct reports as well as peers. Monitor and evaluate direct reports workload and reassign priorities as needed. Evaluate the performance of direct report(s) and appropriately communicates those evaluations. Ensures that assigned personnel know and follow all MileOne policies and procedures. Plans, manages and leverages co-op dollars for all manufacturers within their Division. Ensures all communication is compliant with manufacturers and legal. Assist with website management for their Division. Understands analytics to improve website performance. Work within MO Marketing to make informed decisions. Lead discussion and recommendations with facts to support recommendations. Competencies: Must be a creative thinker with a complete understanding of the entire marketing mix and the role each marketing channel plays in achieving the Division's goals. Must be extremely well versed in the role of traditional advertising methods as well as digital and social media capabilities. How and where they fit in to the plan. Must be a proactive marketing leader for their Division. A leader, not a follower. Earns and keeps each Division's respect and confidence as a trusted advisor bringing value to their business through a strong commitment to success, a consistent performance and the ability to develop a wide range of marketing ideas and solutions. Understands the importance of maintaining MileOne brand standards along with program consistency and continuity. Acquires an in-depth knowledge of automotive dealership business - key issues, competitive environment and industry trends so as to develop innovative marketing programs. Qualifications: BA/BS required. Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Business or related degree preferred. MBA a plus. 7+ years of account management or marketing experience in agency or client environment. An understanding of advertising, marketing, media, digital, social, creative, production, research, direct marketing and finance. Retail experience is preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Working knowledge of other software (CRM, database, Adobe, etc.). Competent in basic data analysis. Organized and able to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. Detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills and a team player. Supervisory Responsibilities:Will supervise two employees.Evaluation Points: Divisional President/Team is making satisfactory progress toward achievement of their sales objectives and acknowledge the MileOne Marketing Team for its contributions. Senior Sales and Marketing management express confidence in RMM's leadership. Creative work is compliant with MileOne and OEM, outstanding and on strategy. Campaign objectives are met. Appropriate management and development of direct reports. Active training Morale is positive Performance reviews are constructive and given in a timely manner Work Environment Normal office environment. Occasion travel to dealerships within their Division of responsibility.
