Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Status: Full-time, non-exempt
Salary: An amount in the beginning of the pay range, $20.00-$21.50/hourly.

Location: This position is based out of our Denver office at 711 Park Ave W, Denver, CO 80205. Currently working 3 days/week in office with 2 days/week remote.

How You'll Help
The Administrative Assistant will help oversee administrative tasks for Mile High United Way (MHUW), a community outreach nonprofit organization serving the Denver Metro community for 135 years. Working collaboratively across the organization, the Administrative Assistant will provide support as needed, primarily supporting the Executive Team's projects and assignments. Under the guidance of the Administrative Director, the Administrative Assistant will also help in assisting and facilitating our Board of Trustees and other related activities. Lastly, this role will work in partnership with other teams throughout the organization to help oversee front desk support and administration.
Essential Responsibilities
What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Salesforce database experience a plus.
Working Environment: Typical office environment. Occasional travel to meetings outside of the office.
Physical Activities: Ability to provide personal transportation. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide support to Mile High United Way's Executive leaders and their various teams, including but not limited to:
- Coordinate event staffing and help with event preparation
- Work with Mile High United Way's data and evaluation teams on data entry and data mining
- Support Mile High United Way's Board of Trustees and all related activity, including meeting coordination and support
- Assist, implement, and help lead special projects as needed by various members of the executive team
- Other executive team support as needed
- Support the Resource Development team with campaigns and donor relations
- Help to conduct "Thank You" calls to donors
- Schedule donor and campaign events
- Manage kit builds and distribution of kits
- Assist with presentation and collateral preparation for meetings
- Support Mile High United Way's front desk and administration
- Oversee incoming mail distribution, ensuring it gets to appropriate staff in a timely manner
- Welcome visitors during our hours of operation, and ensure they are connected with the right staff member
- Take incoming calls to the organization and dispatch them appropriately
- Support our CoBank Leadership Conference center and various events and/or meetings that may be held there
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization
- Assist with various projects, compose correspondence and other documentation as needed
- Support cross-departmental efforts, events, and activities
- Maintain a professional demeanor and represent Mile High United Way accordingly across various internal and external teams
- General staff support across the organization
What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years' experience in administrative support preferred
- 1-2 years' experience in nonprofit work preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively and across multiple teams
- Self-motivated and self-starter
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- High degree of personal responsibility and integrity
- Demonstrated skills in the areas of administration and project management
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must work well under pressure and be accommodating to change
- Possess a high energy level
- Creative, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable of the community
