Position Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree in related business, science or industrial field OR four to six years of equivalent experience

Experience/Skills/Abilities: Four years of multidisciplinary project management/sales experience as a contributor. Two to four years of experience as a principal project manager. Must have successfully served as project manager for two to four major product releases.

Duties and Responsibilities

For this role, we're looking for an experienced future leader for our EV sales and project management team. This position will involve full scope project management responsibilities and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This role will be expected to work with PWRVance customers and internal sales team members to coordinate large scale equipment orders from inquiry to installation. This role will also involve aspects of outside sales, including new customer outreach and onboarding.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish and maintain project schedules while coordinating product orders.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Sales Engineer to properly specify the correct product for each project location.
  • Coordinate with other project team members; identify scope of work, schedule and pricing.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with customers, consultants and end users.
  • Follow up with customers to obtain feedback, correct problems and address customer issues.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with utilities, internal departments and customers.


Project Management and Organization:

  • The Project Manager is responsible for coordination and ultimate execution of major projects or developments.
  • This individual is involved in the planning, organizing and monitoring of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Manages, schedules and coordinates projects through an approved product development plan system
  • Maintains all product development plan documentation and history


Team Management and Organization:

  • The Project Manager may have dedicated resources assigned to him/her as direct reports and be required to act in a "team leader" capacity.
  • Directs and supervises cross-functional project teams


Employee Development:

  • Instructs individual contributors on department policies and procedures
  • Prepares performance review forms and directs the distribution of the forms to supervisory personnel
  • Responsible for technical training and development of team members


Communication:

  • Oral communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings
  • Written communication - Demonstrates ability to express complicated and technical matters in a clear, concise manner
  • Coordinates with Purchasing, Operations, Engineering and the Sales team; responsible for all notifications and sign-offs on projects.


Continuous Improvement/Lean Enterprise:

  • Develops and implements best practices leading to improved project workflow and management throughout the organization
  • Establishes and utilizes frameworks and systems, including tools such as visual management, problem solving, standard work and kaizen
  • Cooperates and commits in a team environment to achieve goals and deliverables
  • Resolves difficult or complicated challenges using the problem-solving process

  • Computer skills - Can create and maintain documents in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have some exposure to Microsoft Access. Must be able to proficiently utilize the corporate ERP and other computer systems in the completion of work tasks.


Travel Required: As required, typically 50% or less.

Hours: As required to accomplish duties but normally less than 50 hours per week.
