Engineering Project Manager I

A Project Manager I is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the Manufacturing Engineering department. They oversee all aspects of a project for scope, budget and schedule, and monitors and summarizes progress of a project on weekly basis. They build and maintain working relationships with Team Members and other departments involved in the projects and utilize industry concepts, practices, and procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and oversee development and engineering projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion within budget
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Prepare budgets and track costs
• Monitor progress and keep stakeholders informed on a weekly basis
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate techniques
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Work independently with Plant Management teams
• Provide project status reporting to upper management

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a Programming related field OR equivalent work experience
• Minimum two years of experience in Project Management, Engineering, and/or Automation/Programming
• Project Management training or certification is desired
• Outgoing, confident, and comfortable speaking with all levels of management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as cooperate with others in team efforts
• Must work within designated normal office hours assigned or required by work
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Candidates must be able to work onsite at the Midwest Manufacturing General Office in Eau Claire, Wisconsin (remote work is not offered)
