Job Description

Midstate Radiology Associates (MRA) is seeking a Mammography/Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our growing team!

Primary Work Location: MidState Medical Center, Meriden, CT

Position Type: Full Time Regular

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Compensation: A $5,000 Sign On Bonus will be offered to eligible candidates. MRA offers competitive compensation, based on qualifications and experience.

Position Summary:

• Responsible for coordinating the day to day activities for a progressive Radiology practice’s Mammography Department.

• Maintains accountability of staff productivity and communicates findings to manager. Works with MidState Site Lead to ensure adequate technologist coverage.

• Perform mammographic imaging as needed to cover department workflow and complete administration duties for the remainder.

• Reports directly to the Manager of Mammography

• Maintains section supplies and places orders as needed.

• Observes staff to monitor quality and adherence to department procedures.

• Coordinates training of new and current staff.

• Assists with maintaining a dynamic & robust quality assurance program

• Oversees daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual quality assurance documentation for all Mammography units

• Assists with the coordination of all preventive maintenance on the mammography units

• Coordinates annual physicist inspections on all Midstate mammography units

• Completes and submits all ACR accreditation requirements for all MidState mammography units. Must be willing to travel to multiple locations to help at other locations as needed.

• Responsible to maintain records for yearly FDA inspections; as well as uphold compliance with the EQUIP program along with manager

• Contact for studies waiting on prior imaging

• Point person at Midstate Medical Center for Radiation Dosimeters-Monitors will be collected and sent back to Landauer as indicated Monthly/Quarterly.

Position Requirements:

• ARRT certified in mammography

• Current CT licensure

• Associates Degree or 5 years clinical experience

• Experience with ACR accreditation processes and MQSA Inspections

• Candidate must have strong organizational skills

• Ability to manage staff and developing guidelines to promote teamwork.

• Internal applicants will be peer reviewed and external applicants will require strong references.

• Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population.

• Demonstrates effective knowledge of computer and organizational skills.

• EPIC experience preferred.
