Job Description

Summary:

Manages a team responsible for the design and implementation of robust manufacturing processes, equipment and personnel. Responsible for operational excellence via efficient product line design. Ensures continuous improvement in process, cost, quality and production. Manages all engineering projects and processes up to production release and be a mentor to the engineering team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead the Process Engineering Team to develop strong capable processes.

Be the SME for semi-conductor manufacturing and train the engineering staff on best practices in die attach, wire bond, flip chip, SMT, and seal processes.

Ensure that the process standards, procedures and specifications are in place for all the companys manufacturing assets.

Develop process engineering initiatives to manage project introduction and implementation.

Evaluate each QCI failure and develop manufacturing capabilities to eliminate those failures.

Manage all new products using Gantt charts to ensure projects are properly executed within the time frame required.

Ensure that the team play an active part in the daily sustaining of legacy products by monitoring through material and labor variance reports.

Keep and posts metrics that shows the teams performance.

Continuously examine the processes to ensure that they are high yielding processes.

Manage the department to where there are strong team values and cooperation among the department.

Be a strong team player in helping Micross attain high OTD and Quality scores with our customers.

Resolve problems, using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.

Analyze technology trends, human resources needs, and market demand to plan projects.

Confers with management, production and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness and customer demand for new and existing products.

Advises management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.

Provides direction and example for interpretation and application of company policy and procedures for the engineering activities.

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

Due to export control rules, must be a US citizen.

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

10 or more years of experience of process engineering in a semiconductor lean manufacturing environment

Certified Professional Engineer, preferred

Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, preferred

Job Skills:

Direct leadership experience in a technical semiconductor environment.

Experience in the design and engineering.

Experience of working with outside subcontractors.

Experience in qualification activities for process equipment in the semiconductor industry.
