Senior Software Engineering Manager - CTJ - Poly

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the Washington DC Metro area-based Resource Provider (RP) team to support US Government cloud workloads. This team manages all control plane operations across multiple Azure Storage clouds and collaborates across engineering teams in multiple geographic locations to create new features, to enhance existing ones, and to resolve production incidents.

**Responsibilities**

+ Oversee the Storage RPs and Service responsibilities in multiple clouds, including:

+ Regional Storage R esource P rovider (RSRP)

+ Disk (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/managed-disks-overview)

+ Elastic S torage A rea N etwork

+ Point-in-Time Restore (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/blobs/point-in-time-restore-overview)

+ Object Replication Service

+ Cluster Resource Manager (CRM) to enable greater Storage resource utilization.

+ Participate in the design,implementation,and troubleshooting of the services listed above.

+ Ensure software changes improve quality, performance, and reliability of the system.

+ Participate in code reviews for other team members.

+ Participate in On Call rotations to support live site issues and to improve customer experiences.

+ Learn with the team and adopt relevant new technologies, tools, methods, and processes.

**Qualifications**

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ **Security Clearance Requirements:** Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

+ Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements

+ The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 3+ years ofimplementing REST APIs.

+ Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages.

+ Experience with multi-threaded/parallel programming.

+ A strong background in data structures, algorithms, and analysis of algorithm complexity.

+ Experience planning, scheduling, and delivering quality software.

Software Engineering M4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
