Micrometals System Administrator

Micrometals is looking for a talented Computer IT professional to administer in-house computer network.

System Administrator is responsible for planning, acquisition, implementation, support, tuning, and performance for central server architecture components and operating systems (web servers, application servers, database servers, etc.) to support the company. Provide help desk support for local users and resolve computer related issues for end users.

System Administrator is responsible for upkeep and maintenance of all computers and computer related equipment in office and in the plant.

(Copiers, Printers, Phones, Routers, Switches, etc.)

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree Computer Science or related discipline plus 2 to 5 years of directly related experience. (3 to 6 years of relevant experience strongly preferred).

Directly related experience in computer repair and/or configuration.

Proficient knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems requirements and configuration.

Proficient knowledge of Active Directory/Group Policy Management and Hyper-V virtualization.

Proficient knowledge of computer and network Security.

Proficient knowledge of IT systems and network troubleshooting

Proficient knowledge of Email systems and Web hosting services.

Linux Experience is a plus

Knowledge of Visual Basic and Visual Studio

SQL Server Database experience required

Knowledge of ERP software a plus.

Good writing, communication and listening skills.

Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Must have the ability to travel outside of the U.S.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $32.00 - $37.00 per hour DOE
