Job Description

Microchips fast growing Analog business unit is looking for a Principal Test Engineer to bring new products to market. Based in our Chandler headquarters, you would be part of our mixed signal and linear team developing new ADCs, DACs, Digital Potentiometers, Temperature Sensors, and Op Amps. In addition you would help shape and influence our overall test strategy/techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with an international New Product Introduction (NPI) team to release new products to market.
  • Develop test plans and make testability suggestions to NPI team during product design phase.
  • Create ATE test solutions (HW and SW) for validation, qualification, characterization, probe, and high-volume final test.
  • Provide a schematic and layout input to CAD engineers who develop Probe and FT loadboards.
  • Debug new silicone and provide feedback to NPI team.
  • Help our factory debug, maintain, and improve existing test solutions.
  • Help develop Microchips suite of analog, thermal, and mixed-signal test techniques.
Job Requirements
  • Must possess an in-depth knowledge of analog/thermal/mixed-signal device theory and test methods.
  • Minimum8+years of experience developing ATE test solutions for analog/thermal/mixed-signal semiconductor ICs.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global multi-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge in circuit design, simulation, and PCB design/LO skills.
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required. MS preferred.

Highly Desired Skills:

  • Experience on analog and mixed-signal ATE platforms: ETS-300/88, Teradyne J750/J750HD/UltraFlex, Nextest Maverick/Magnum, LTX DiamondX, Spea DOT600.
  • Understanding of DFT, BIST, SCAN, Statistical Process Control, and test limit guard banding methodology.
