Job Description

MicroHealth is seeking an EHR Workflow Configuration Specialist to support our client in Washington, DC.

(MicroHealth is prime on this contract).

This effort involves implementing COTS EHR across different sites worldwide.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Assist eligible program and clinical staff with consultative and technical assistance to determine EHR incentive eligibility
  • Conduct a workflow analysis, offer implementation roadmaps, and define optimization strategies
  • Conduct needs assessment and troubleshoot issues that arise during implementation and recommend specific solutions such as installation of alternate methods and procedures, changes in processing methods and practices, or redesign of processes and workflow
  • Display an exceptionally high level of attention to detail and consultative service skills in each and every direct treatment staff member encounter
  • Troubleshoot practice management (billing, scheduling, claims, and clinical health record) application issues
  • Responsibility for problem-solving, assessing processes and issues, and collaborating with clinical staff and physicians to develop solutions resulting in efficient and functional workflows for end-users of our software application
  • Administrative interface with EHR vendor
  • Accountable for documenting and tracking application development and production technical flow, setting standards, implementing control, and following procedures to maintain systems
  • Develop and implement new ideas for improvement in conjunction with user areas; offer solutions to improve workflow
  • Conduct assessment with senior staff on transition and migration to EHR implemented for clinic program by identifying functionality, usability, and pricing comparisons
  • Perform test of certified EHR capacity to electronically exchange key clinical information from cases to other providers including hospitals, physicians, and health home networks
  • Confer with appropriate managers regarding problems with and capabilities of database systems
  • Support implementation of patient portal and secure messaging in the portal

Clearance:

  • Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) Clearance Required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and 5-6 years of relevant experience with EHR Workflow
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) required; experience with Allscripts preferred
  • Experience supporting large scale user clinical environments
  • Ability and desire to provide extraordinary customer-service to internal customers;
  • Ability to work independently and in a dynamic environment
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal communications skills and ability to deal effectively with customers, peers and management
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Able to do International traveling

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee may lift or move objects up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
