Job Description

Our very well established and growing Food Processing client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of candidates for Multiple Opportunities for these IMMEDIATE FULL TIME DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES, for the following positions:

  • Facility Maintenance Mechanics - 2) Swing Shift / 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
  • Facility Maintenance Electrical Technicians - 1) Day Shift / 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 1) Swing Shift / 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
  • Facility Maintenance Refrigeration Mechanics - 1) Day Shift / 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, 1) Swing Shift / 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm

SALARY - $24.00 to $28.00 / HR

LOCATION - Within Stanislaus County (Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, or Surrounding Cities)

 

** Facility Maintenance Mechanics (2 Openings) **

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining processing equipment at maximum operating efficiency, diagnosing, analyzing and investigating malfunction of plant process equipment and repair / adjust in order to keep in good operating condition. Complete PM actions and work orders as assigned.

This can be more of an entry level position, so not much experience is required, must be mechanically inclined and able to turn a wrench.

Essential Duties:

  • Trouble-shoot equipment, making repairs / adjustments as necessary for operations
  • Maintain / construct Facility buildings, and structures as required
  • Replace / repair motors, gear boxes, drive units, pipelines and all other equipment and process components as required
  • Maintain any assigned records or downtime logs of equipment malfunction or component parts used for repair
  • Work bench repair work including grinding, cutting, and welding
  • Pipe fitting, painting, sandblasting or any other maintenance / construction trades work which may be required or having proficiency in
  • Keeping all tools, carts and maintenance equipment clean and properly stored
  • Keeping all work areas orderly

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years in industrial field preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Processing equipment operations and energy sources
  • Good practical welding and fabrication techniques
  • Safe use of all power tools, presses, compressors, generators, gases, jacks, hoists, lifts, etc.
  • Reading and understanding diagrams and drawings
  • Plan and schedule assigned duties
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Interact effectively with other workers and supervisors
  • Work at various heights and awkward positions
  • Frequently lift and move heavy objects up to 75 lbs.
  • Carry tool pouch weighing approximately 20 lbs.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions

 

** Facility Maintenance Electrical Technicians (2 Openings) **

This position does not require candidates to be expert electricians, but would prefer 1 to 5 years of experience.

 

Essential Duties:

  • General electrical work as may be assigned and directed by supervisors
  • Complete Preventive Maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Complete work orders as assigned
  • Assist with making repairs, adjustments or overhaul of equipment as needed
  • Assist with new electrical installations
  • Assist with Maintenance of general lighting system
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by supervisors or managers

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Reading and understanding electrical drawings and blueprints
  • Minimum 1 to 5 years’ experience preferred
  • Local electrical codes
  • Main power distribution
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Interact effectively with other worker and supervisors
  • Work at various heights and awkward positions
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

 

** Facility Maintenance Refrigeration Mechanic (2 Openings) **

The Refrigeration Mechanic is responsible for maintenance and operation of Refrigeration systems, air compression units, fire pump water system, nitrogen, SO2 systems and support equipment. Must be able to work independently, while following all operational and safety procedures, job descriptions and practices created by management.

Refrigeration or Boiler experience preferred, but willing to train on refrigeration.

Essential Duties:

  • Maintaining equipment and systems for which responsible in maximum operating efficiency
  • Monitoring equipment by checks, daily rounds and other procedures.
  • Maintain records, reports or logs which may be required on assigned equipment or systems.
  • Help with inventory control of parts, components and materials used for equipment and systems assigned
  • Keeping all equipment and systems clean and orderly
  • Any other general work duties as may be assigned by supervisors or managers

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • All safety procedures in operation of equipment and systems.
  • Safe handling of chemicals, gases or energy sources used or generated.
  • Practical welding, pipe-fitting, fabrication and electrical techniques.
  • Reading and understanding drawings / diagrams.
  • Welding, pipe-fitting, fabrication.
  • Plan and schedule duties
  • Work independently and make decisions
  • Work at various heights and awkward positions
  • Interact effectively with others
  • Frequently lift or move heavy objects up to 70-75 lb. weight
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
  • Knowledge of R.E.T.A standards/certification a plus but not required
  • Lift truck operations
  • Previous experience in wine industry or production
  • Previous experience working in industrial plants
