Accountant Financial Analyst

Miami Dade Medical Research Institute is currently looking to hire an Accountant Financial Analyst to join our team! The Incumbent will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
  • Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
  • Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
  • Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
  • Report analysis and findings to management team

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools

Position Summary:

Miami Dade Medical Research Institute is a multi-specialty research facility. The Accountant Financial Analyst is under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is responsible for reviewing and understanding all clinical trial budgets and agreements related to the site’s clinical trial operations. This position will work with other department representative as a necessary function of the job. The primary role of the accountant financial analyst is ensure the timely billing and collection on all outstanding accounts. The incumbent will also compile and publish fiscal and statistical metrics relating to clinical trials.

Essential Job Functions:

· Review clinical trial budgets and submit invoice for appropriate start-up fees

· Identify and post all billable visits for each clinical trial

· Invoice all billable visits as set forth in the clinical trial budget

· Invoice all pass through items to include but not limited to imaging procedures, local laboratory and dry ice

· Invoice all sponsor and IRB approved advertising fees

· Post and reconcile payments received for each clinical trial

· Resolve any payment queries from sponsors

· Track all outstanding invoices and visits and institute collection measures

Reporting Responsibilities :

· Compile daily and weekly productivity reports

· Compile bi-weekly and monthly productivity reports

· Compile other fiscal reporting as needed as per the CFO

Other accounting/fiscal related reports

Project Management Responsibilities:

· Manage the ClinCard payment system

· Manage the clinical trial management system

· Manage other projects as needed as per the CFO

Education and Training Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, plus 2 years related experience minimum or equivalency (Preferred)

· Detail oriented, highly organized and positive attitude

· Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

· Proficiency in MS Suite including extensive experience utilizing Excel in the preparation and development of spread sheets to support analysis and reconciliation

· Collections Experience

· Effective communication and strong work ethics

English proficiency-written and oral communication skills
