Job Description

The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) is a Missouri State special purpose political subdivision that is responsible for the St. Louis area’s storm water and sewer collection and treatment. MSD ranks in the nation’s top wastewater utilities, and is a major contributor to the health and environment of the St. Louis area.

This position will perform routine chemical, biological and physical analyses of samples collected from streams, industries, wastewater treatment plants, sludge and other potential sources of pollution.

A high school diploma or equivalent and 60 college credit hours in related subjects plus two years’ experience in water or wastewater laboratory analyses required.

Qualified candidates should also have considerable knowledge of modern test procedures (especially biochemical oxygen demand), laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and thorough knowledge of safe work practices.
