We are actively seeking an Assessment Center Specialist for our Juvenile Crisis & Assessment Center in Asheville, NC.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The primary responsibilities of the Assessment Center Specialist include the coordination of the referral process as well as the admission and discharge planning for the center. This includes receiving direct referrals from consumers, assessing for appropriateness, information gathering, and information sharing. The Specialist will serve as the primary liaison for the families and court services staff for the admission process. The role also includes conducting intakes, completing documentation, data tracking and retrieval, discharge planning, and other tasks related to the assessment process.
ARE YOU QUALIFIED?
Qualified candidates will be at least 21 years old AND possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and two years of relevant experience in the human services field. Experience working children age 11-17 is a plus. Qualified candidates will possess a high level of computer literacy, advanced writing and editing skills, and excellent organizational skills. This position requires a valid driver's license, the successful completion of required screenings and trainings, and the ability to complete an unarmed self-defense course required by all staff in the facility.
