MetaPhase is seeking a Business Transformation Project Manager to provide management and lead a strategic initiative focused on transforming an organization's process management and data use while embedded within a Federal Office. The Business Transformation Office sits at the intersection of the organization's plans to become inclusive of an information first and organization sharing mindset in order to successfully achieve an end state that facilitates the department's mission.

Transforming business operations will require an understanding of both the organization's functional areas and its information technology footprint. Successful candidates will acquire knowledge of the various operational functions and processes of the organization while working closely with technology partners to determine the best tools to meet transformation objectives. Successful candidates must also work effectively in teams, be sharp, creative, well written, and articulate when speaking with senior client leadership.   

 

Specific duties will include:

  • Provide oversight and management of project planning, execution, and delivery management to the program using industry best practices 

  • Lead stakeholders from various government and contractor teams to coordinate program-wide efforts of change management

  • Identify and solve the core business need, turning vague or aspirational business requirements into clear and concise requirements to facilitate process change

  • Conduct reviews of submitted business requirements and draft feedback by leveraging best practices

  • Documenting existing business processes and designing new processes to improve the operations of the organization

  • Liaison between Program teams, Client Leadership and customer stakeholders

  • Thought leadership and business savvy with the ability to offer tailored solutions to a diverse group of stakeholders

  • Defining project workflows, managing resources, prioritizing responsibilities and tasks in order to deliver quality and timely results in support of delivery of contractual services

  • Proactively engaging with clients to identify challenges, recommend solutions and manage expectations

  • Facilitating strategic leadership alignment workshops and planning

  • Presenting insights and recommendations for client prioritization and investment

  • Preparing final drafts of major deliverables; assuring quality control

  • Anticipating client needs, recognizing and acting on opportunities to enhance client service, and expand the scope of engagement

  • Meet all project deliverables and milestones

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight or more (8+)  years of management of Project Planning, Execution, Delivery Management service experience in the Federal Government

  • Strong customer engagement skills, ability to successfully communicate  with clients on program objectives  and manage the client relationship and expectations

  • Experience developing business process

  • Experience facilitating working sessions with end users and all levels of stakeholders to capture business needs and requirements

  • Experience with developing professional briefing materials to convey analysis using Microsoft Office tools (e.g., PowerPoint and Visio)

  • Ability to be a self–starter, team player, and effective leader in a fast–paced environment

  • U.S. citizenship required (no exceptions)


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience at federal agency preferred 

  • Management experience with teams of five or more (5+) direct reports / resources

  • Federal Business Development experience a plus

  • Ability to be a self–starter, team player, and effective leader in a fast–paced environment

 

Work Location: 

  • Currently remote, partial onsite support in the Washington DC area anticipated upon return to work (date undetermined)

Education Level:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business and/or related field; or equivalent years' experience

Clearance Level:

  • This position requires a US security clearance at the "Secret" level or above (no exceptions); U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
