We are seeking six (6) highly motivated and detail-oriented college professionals as Summer Interns in Metal Exchange Corporation to join our team in 2023. Successful summer intern hires will learn and support our 2023 projects and programs in support of our leadership's vision and key performance objectives. This is a fantastic opportunity for college students looking to gain hands-on experience in the corporate and manufacturing industry. The summer intern positions are not remote positions. The opportunities are hybrid positions located in St. Louis, MO.
Our internship program could jump start your career. You will have the opportunity to perform work on special projects in your functional area of expertise. You will be introduced to our company culture and work practices and learn about department functions and how your role integrates with our entire MEC Team. The summer will end with a presentation to the Senior Management team to demonstrate what you have learned.
The Summer Internship is a paid program that can be flexible depending on your academic calendar.
As a Metal Exchange Corporation (Summer) Intern, you will be challenged with completing projects that will enhance your professional skills as well as contribute to the department's goals and objectives. You will work on company products and will assist with consumer analytics, communications, and process improvement. You will also participate in additional skill building activities such as trainings, lectures, department meetings, and extracurricular activities.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with the team on consumer analytics, communication material support, and process improvement
Create, review, and edit documents including presentations, white papers, and marketing collateral
Assist Management and Team with special projects
Maintain a good understanding of all MEC business and products, both existing and in the development stage
Assist in research projects in support of new products and solutions
Develop a working relationship with internal departments of MEC that fosters collaboration and mutual respect across all departments
Participate in all scheduled training and events offered through the MEC Internship Experience
What You'll need:
Must be a current Junior who is enrolled to be a Senior full-time in a Bachelor's program for the Summer or Fall 2023 school year
Can also be currently enrolled in a Master's program
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Must be able to commit to an 8 - 10 week internship, beginning May/June 2023
Must be able to work 40 hours/week and periodically travel

Salary Min: $20/HR
Salary Max: $24/HR

Qualifications
- Education: Internship program for Senior candidates of a bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with inventory management software is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
