Basic Qualifications (Required):
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience performing a full range of operations management, analysis, and program support in the international space, either through work with foreign governments or other foreign NGOs.
Experience standing up or supporting PMOs for large organizations.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Strong analytical, consulting, and facilitation skills.
Expertise in process analysis and developing workflow strategies.
Proficiency with knowledge management tools and techniques, such as MS SharePoint.
Must have a Top-Secret clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
Federal consulting experience; Experience at DHS - Department of Homeland Security is a strong plus
Description:
The International Affairs Management Consultant will support a variety of business operations management, analysis, training, travel, and development activities for a new and innovative international outreach and engagement arm within a Department of Homeland Security Agency. They will provide hands-on support to the leadership team in implementing and managing a series of programmatic growth activities aimed at growing the agency's presence and support overseas. The program aims to advance the agency's cyber and physical critical infrastructure protection priorities, and support the agency's international partners in their efforts to protect their own critical infrastructure from cyber and physical threats and attacks through information sharing, capacity building, and other research and development activities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze impacts of overseas investments, track milestones, and develop ideas for future international critical infrastructure protection capacity building and training support.
Cultivate and manage relationships with interagency and overseas partners.
Lead critical work-streams, including data analysis and reporting, strategic planning, internal and external communications, the attaché program, and international engagement activities.
Strong communicator with the ability to present project reviews and phase gates to a senior audience and field questions and inquiries in a balanced and professional manner.
Lead planning efforts to size and scope programs and priorities including working with clients and stakeholders to understand their vision and translate into actionable project plans and schedules.
Strategize with client leadership to plan, develop, and implement concepts and strategies in support of international projects and initiatives.
Work Location:
Remote during COVID, mix of remote, corporate office, and Washington DC area post-COVID
Travel:
Infrequent (Less than 5%)
Education Level:
Minimum Bachelor's degree
Clearance Level:
This position requires clearance at the "Top Secret" level
