Job Description

General Purpose

The Co-Residential Support Staff Supervisor is to maintain a safe environment for Meta House clients and their children, and to help them gain the self-esteem, structure, and self-confidence to live a sober, productive life. This role, in partnership with the other Co-Residential Support Staff Supervisors, is to supervise and provide support to the Residential Support Staff (RSS) to create an environment supporting recovery and cooperation with other Meta House teams that leads to a smooth running residential program. This is a third shift position (10pm to 7:30am)!

 

Essential Functions of the Job

· In partnership with the other Co-Residential Support Staff Supervisors

o Supervise RSS

o Interview and evaluate RSS

o Train RSS and SRSS

o Provide coaching and performance improvement strategies as necessary

o Provide conflict resolution techniques as necessary with staff and clients

o Periodically assist with weekly house meetings with clients

o Coordinate with Co-Residential Support Staff Supervisors bi-weekly RSS meetings that include trainings

· Ensure that all CBRF codes are followed on daily basis, these include, but are not limited to, fire drills, food policies, chore policies, medication policies, bedroom policies, and monitoring medication books

· Coordinate new third sift RSS onboarding and continued training

· Collaborate with Co-Residential Support Staff Supervisors to ensure weekly RSS schedule is completed in a timely manner

· Ensure daily RSS logs are completed accurately and professionally

· Appropriately track third shift RSS/SRSS attendance and call-ins; ensure Netchex is being regularly monitored

· Take all call-ins for third shift while working with the Co-Residential Support Staff Supervisors ensuring adequate staff coverage

· Ability to flex hours to ensure coverage as needed

· From time to time alternate shifts with other Co-Residential Support Staff Supervisor to guarantee connection with all RSS staff and to spread out coverage across shifts

· Work cooperatively with Child & Family Services to promote successful child visitations

· Reinforce RSS training and follow-up periodically to ensure the RSS checklist is being used

 

Marginal Functions of the Job

· Transportation

· Shopping/medication pick-up for clients

· Oversee clients on walks

· Other duties may be periodically or permanently assigned

 

Qualifications and Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in a human service field preferred; experience in CBRF or other multiple shift environment; supervisory experience

· An understanding of Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health issues

· Driver’s license, safe driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance

· CBRF training preferred

· Computer skills; including proficiency in Word, Excel, and other applications

 

Working Conditions

· Able to negotiate the indoors, including stairs

· Able to work different shifts as needed

· Able to tolerate and work with a moderate amount of noise

· Able to travel between facilities

· Able to drive vehicles including 15-passenger van

· Able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally 40 pounds

· Able to hear clients and speak to them

· Able to work in a non-smoking environment

· Able to visually inspect the facility and work of clients and RSS
