Position Summary
Second-In-Command Pilots (SICs), Part-Time, are pilots aboard Metrea Strategic Mobility’s (MSM) KC-135 tanker aircraft.

Essential Functions Statement:
- Work well with a crew of 3 while responding to a variety of emergency and non-emergency scenarios.
- Conduct procedurally correct and expeditious pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections, checklists and documentation.
- Maintain Situational Awareness (SA) and use Crew Resource Management (CRM) throughout all phases of flight.
- Adhere to company Flight Operation Procedures (FOP’s), Ground Operation Procedures (GOP’s) and Safety Notices.
- Maintain all currencies, qualifications and advanced systems knowledge as related to the MSM KC-135 tanker fleet.
Competency Statements
- Set a high standard for providing our customers with world-class air refueling.
- Must have the ability to travel at least 7 days per month.
Required Education, Experience and Certificates
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- 15 hours in KC-135 Aircraft
- 1000 total hours (with military conversion rate of 1 military hour equal to 1.2 civilian hours)
Computer Skills: Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite Programs
Certificates:
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with B-707 and B-720 Type Ratings
- Current and qualified KC-135R Pilot
- At least current FAA Flying Class 2 Physical
- Current US Passport
Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates
- Current and qualified KC-135R Pilot
- KC-135 MPRS Experience
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance.
Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Employee must be a US citizen.
Employee must be able to hold and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level.
