Position Summary

Reporting to the Head of Electromagnetic and Space Group (EMSG) supporting Meta Aerospace’s overall logistical efforts, the EMSG Logistical Facilities Specialist is responsible for leading the process of planning and executing the efficient accountability, storage, transportation of materials, equipment, and products related to EMSG. Lead, manage, and execute the functionality, safety, security, and sustainability of the EMSG facility, to include ordering and accounting for materials required. Act as a liaison to other facilities and logistical efforts across Meta. The EMSG Logistical Facilities Specialist is a member of EMSG staff operating out of the EMSG facility in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. As a member of the EMSG, the Logistical Facilities Specialist has responsibilities that demand clear communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to develop trusting relationships with senior and junior teammates across the enterprise. This position provides the opportunity to grow business knowledge in a dynamic, ever-evolving aerospace company.

The EMSG Logistical Facilities Specialist works closely across the staff to ensure transparency in methodologies and processes across Meta Aerospace.

EMSG Logistical Facilities Specialist RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing the Meta Capability (“ΟΝ”)


Process, Systems & Frameworks Development: Assist in the design, development, and management of the EMSG’s logistics support capability with particular focus on the implementation of effective, efficient, and scalable technologies and processes that assist in execution of the business, and customer and mission support.

Develop the necessary logistical frameworks and models, and in partnership across Meta Aerospace, acquire and implement systems, capabilities, and methodologies that will best facilitate customer support from tactical to strategic levels across the group.

People Development: Identify areas of growth in Meta Aerospace’s knowledge, skillsets, and attitudes, and develop a systematic approach to professional development and talent acquisition in order to build a high-performing team embedded systems engineering team.

Technology Development: Identify software, hardware, and infrastructure requirements to support Meta and EMSG logistical requirements and create a roadmap framework across Meta Aerospace.

TEAMMATE RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing Support Capacity across Meta (“IN”)

Strategy BCA: Support the Strategy (STRAT) BCA to inform enterprise strategy with key EMSG considerations and remain an active participant on all major enterprise logistical decisions, to include the commencement of new logistical software, hardware, and infrastructure capabilities.

Support the STRAT/Risk team by informing on logistical needs of the business and the risk exposure dashboards with EMSG risks, as well as by supporting risk mitigation efforts.

Operations BCA: Work closely with the EMSG Leadership Team to inform the design, implementation, and further development of Meta Aerospace’s technical methodologies.

Legal BCA: Provide LEG/Compliance with the EMSG’s inputs that are required to perform all necessary logistical and compliance functions and ensure that Meta’s compliance policies cover all known requirements as required.

Work closely with LEG/Contracts to ensure that contract structuring & economics supports business objectives and customer requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility
This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office and warehouse setting.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt employees must have the ability to be on-call and available outside of typical working hours, as business needs require.

Required Education, Experience and Certificates
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in technical field or 10+ years of experience in logistical operations related to information technology (IT), signals intelligence, electronic warfare, and cyberspace operations, missions, and programs.

Computer Skills: strong understanding in Microsoft Office Suite Programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Understanding of Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) approved property management systems, reporting, and invoicing associated to government property.


Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates
Experience: Government property management, Government contractor operations; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) ground and aerial operations and associated payloads.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Experience within the aerospace, defense, security and/or government contracting and logistics across several programs and/or projects simultaneously.

Direct experience in working with logistical software and maintaining strict accountability.

Assist the Program Manager in the development of statements of work (SOW), plans of action and milestones, and customer interactions related to logistics and facilities management.

Basic understanding of the policies, processes, priorities, and organization of the US Government in general, and the Department of Defense in particular, around national security matters.

Moderate knowledge of the human terrain around the US Government’s ISR and cyberspace community.

Ability to interact with industry, scientific, technology, military, policy, and finance communities and utilize knowledge gained to support logistical operations.

Ability to communicate effectively across cultures, regions and industries, and experience in working in diverse international environments.

Flexibility to travel frequently and on short notice, both domestically and internationally.

Highly developed sense of judgement and maturity.

Intellectually curious, with strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.

Ability to learn new environments and pick up new subjects quickly.

Ability to obtain and filter information and identify key issues relevant to the achievement of long-term strategic goals.
