Head Fleet Diesel Mechanic

Messier and Associates a minority owned company is currently seeking a Head Mechanic for their fleet of Dump Trucks!!!!!

Head Mechanic will run a shop of 2 dayshift mechanics, 1 nightshift tire mechanic and 1 Lot attendant.  The Head Mechanic position is a flexible position with hours Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm or whatever you feel is the proper schedule for this position.

Head Mechanic will oversee the maintenance and repairs of the fleet of 40 trucks including company vehicles.  You will work and train the 2 dayshift mechanics.

Must have knowledge of the DPF System, Electrical Systems, Transmissions, Etc. and be ASC Certified.

Must have good computer skills and know how to diagnose issues with the trucks using, Service Ranger, Detroit Software, Caterpillar Software, Jaypro and other types of systems. 

Must have own tools and be able to work with shop tools as well.

Must have knowledge of vendor management and have experience ordering parts.

Must be a good communicator as you will work with management team.
