Paralegal or Legal Assistant

Assist General Counsel and legal department with all legal administrative tasks.

  • Oversee all aspects of legal department coordination
  • Manage General Counsel calendar
  • Administer the system for Subpoenas for Records
  • Create and maintain corporate minute books and resolutions
  • Draft letters, memos and reports, which may be confidential
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and company information
  • Interact with clients, vendors and visitors
  • Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence including faxes and e-mail
  • Prepare Fed-Ex/USPS packages and mail for mailing
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to copying, faxing, mailing and filing
  • Prepare, code and enter invoices into Oracle for payment
  • File and retrieve organizational documents, records and reports
  • Create modify documents such as invoices, reports, memos, letters using word processing, spreadsheet using Microsoft Office products
  • Set-up and coordinate meetings and conferences
  • Support staff in assigned project-based work
  • Assist and prepare legal and corporate filings
  • All other duties assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate
  • Fluently speak, read, and write the English language
  • Experience with Microsoft computer programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Five (5) years previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred
  • Corporate experience preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written skills
  • Strong organizational skills & meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic, dependable and punctual
  • Ability to resolve issues/problems independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand airline policies and procedures
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, law firms and Board of Directors
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
