The Senior Marketing Associate / Senior Marketing Account Executive at Merritt Group will support the agency’s marketing clients as we plan, build, and execute our client marketing campaigns. S/he will help own process and deliverables that bring our clients’ campaigns to market and forward their business goals. S/he will serve as a member of marketing client teams at the agency, driving forward key components of the marketing programs, providing research, project management, content, and marketing campaign execution. S/he will support Marketing Managers, Marketing Directors, VPs and partners as needed. And, like all Merritt Groupers, s/he has an insatiable curiosity and interest in technology and business, marketing, digital, content, advertising/paid media, Web, social media and more.
Marketing Campaign Execution with Program Function Leadership: Help execute marketing campaigns on behalf of clients - ranging from content, digital, advertising/paid media, social media and more - ensuring they align to the client’s broader demand generation/sales goals. Own component/s of individual marketing programs -- from strategy to implementation of tactics.
Content Coordination/Support: Support content creation efforts.
Marketing Research: Support market research efforts to inform strategic direction.
Project Management: Lead PM activities with reporting, tracking and measurement, including allocating and managing project hours in project management software. Own components of project management for tasks/duties s/he is responsible for.
Event Management/Execution: Manage execution of industry trade shows and client-sponsored events, including trade show strategy, planning, coordination, and management, event-vendor management, budget management, and onsite execution and support. Some travel will be required, including travel to trade shows where the individual will be the only Merritt Grouper managing on-site.
Deliver Tangible Results: Has both a strong desire and the ability to chase big-picture campaigns that are thoughtful and positive for the company. Ensure that projects align to client goals.
Agency Operations: Volunteer for projects as time warrants; research and bring new ideas to the team’s attention; develop an understanding of all social media platforms and relevant media outlets; and complete and submit accurate timesheets and monthly reports on time.

3-5 years of working experience, including internships
Proficiency with Mac platform
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Prior marketing agency experience and/or internship
Degree in marketing, communications, or related field
