Job Description

Organization Overview:

Merit America is a startup nonprofit that has been named by the New York Times as “the hybrid future of training programs for the disadvantaged.” We prepare low-wage workers for in-demand careers at scale. Our fast and flexible programs are designed to work for underemployed adults stuck in low-wage jobs -- who can learn while they balance work and family. We combine on-demand online learning with coaching and peer support to create the most effective, scalable model in the field.

Since launching in 2018, Merit America has grown to reach 1,000+ learners annually, 78% of whom are BIPOC, while driving an estimated $50M in near-term wage gains for graduates. We’ve built a talented 60-person team, secured partnerships with leading employers and funders (including Amazon, Google, Walmart, Blue Meridian and more), and are now poised for national scale. Our near-term goal is to reach 10,000 learners annually and drive $1B in wage gains by 2025.
