Job Description

Meridian Behavioral Health Services is seeking an energetic and passionate individual to join the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Cherokee County located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains in Western North Carolina. The position, in coordination and conjunction with the other ACT team members, provides a wide range of psychosocial evaluation, assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention services in a clinical environment which requires a high degree of independent decision-making as well as coordinated interdisciplinary team work. This job requires clinical assessment, evaluation, and intervention skills to persons with severe and persistent mental illness who are in need of intensive services within a community-based setting. Case management and supportive services are also an integral component to this position. Must have a Master’s degree and be licensed/license-eligible. LCSW, LCSWA, LPC, LPCA, LMFT, LMFTA)

Applicant must have:

  • a valid driver’s license with no restrictions,
  • reliable transportation,
  • flexibility, and
  • moderate computer skills.
