Job Description

Mercy Wellness is a vertically integrated cannabis company that is licensed for medicinal and adult-use. From cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail. The Project Manager, reporting to the COO is responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of an entire project through budgeting, sourcing suppliers, leading the development of new revenue streams, and planning the project release. Their duties include setting deadlines, providing feedback and communicating the status of their project. We're searching for a leader who is a self-starter & excited to build something extraordinary.

You will...

  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business ex. Product/Brand development, operational excellence, compliance, expansion, systems, etc 

  • Participate in establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization

  • Facilitate the completion of a program, project, event or product release by coordinating the activities of an entire team

  • Delegate tasks to individual Project Managers, setting clear standards for their work that they’ll use to integrate each task into a completed project

  • Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines

  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with a project

  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy

  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership including the Executive Team to keep projects aligned with company goals

  • Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones

  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change

  • Be responsible for actively listening, establishing rapport with clientele, vendors, and possess overall relationship building with all personnel – internally and externally

  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs

  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Versatile: you roll with the punches and don’t get overwhelmed easily; you enjoy grinding away at issues and have a knack for delivering results in hyper-growth, constantly changing environments but agile enough to switch between tasks quickly

  • Strategic: you recognize and resolve situations that are ambiguous or challenging and use logic and data to identify alternatives, evaluate, present approaches to solving complex problems & put solutions into action 

  • Customer-focused: slightly obsessive-compulsive when it comes to customer experience and strive to deliver a product that is best in class 

You have…

  • 5+ years of professional project management experience, including tracking and planning projects

  • 5+ years of experience in the cannabis industry 

  • 3+ years of experience with the cannabis product lifecycle & how to develop compliantly

  • Has experience managing projects that have exceeded a $1M budget 

  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment

  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities

  • Values-driven leadership style to guide and develop a team in alignment with the company’s culture & business goals

  • Associate/Bachelor degree preferred
