Director - Environmental Services
This position is responsible for the oversight of the Environmental Services department, sustainability, waste and hazardous material management. Supervises departments to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
- College degree preferred
- Must have 5 years of management experience
-Must possess excellent communication skills.
-Must have completed a course in medical terminology or have the equivalent of three years on the job training
- Must possess skills in: Decision making essential in dealing with intense, emotional, critical, time sensitive situations. Critical skills necessary are diplomacy, social protocols and understanding of patient/client/staff issues and concerns. Multi task functioning fast paced environment on daily basis. Time Management/prioritization management.
-Must be computer literate or learn within 6 months. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
-Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
-Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
-Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
