Job Description:
The candidate must be well-disciplined, detail-oriented and organized. They should be able to evaluate and drive cost savings and service enhancements that will benefit the company and its customers. The individual must be team-oriented but able to produce positive results with assigned objectives on an independent basis. The candidate in this role will undertake all aspects of company financials, including reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and development of internal control policies and procedures to support company growth and productivity initiatives. Position reports to owner and management team, to organize and analyze all costs relative to managing the company’s expenditures. Key deliverables for the role include coordination of weekly and monthly costs and productivity analysis as well as involvement in key initiatives.
Essential Functions:
· Analysis of company’s income and expenditure to include the company budgets.
· Analyze spending data and perform in depth financial analysis across all departments.
· Coordinate month end, quarterly, and annual cost analysis.
· General office duties including, but not limited to answering phones, filing, data entry, deposits, etc.
· Maintain quality results by following standards, procedures, and regulations.
· Assist the Office Manager and external accountants with processing of daily tasks including timesheets, payroll, invoicing, and maintaining the chart of accounts.
· Prepare and document accurate reports, logs, and records.
· Additional duties, as necessary.
Job Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial position, bookkeeper and/or a related position preferred with a demonstrated understanding of cost modeling.
· Minimum of a degree in Accounting and/or Business Management.
· Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks required including effective communication skills.
Skills:
· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures including creating financial statements, budgets, general ledger functions, job costing, along with month-end and year-end close processes.
· Excellent organization, coordination, confidentiality, and communication skills are a must.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision.
· Able to meet demanding deadlines.
