The range of our civil engineering services covers all phases of a project from beginning to end, including identification of key issues, site feasibility and engineering studies, preliminary through final design, site plan permitting packages, preparation of construction plans and specifications for bidding and construction, and construction phase services. Meier’s technical expertise is complemented by in-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory processes, supported by our years of experience in successfully gaining approvals for projects in numerous jurisdictions. Summary of Responsibilities Plans and supervises work requiring judgment regarding the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Assist Group Manager in client relationships and discipline marketing efforts. Essential Functions In a supervisory capacity; plans, develops, coordinates, and directs a large and important project or a number of small projects with many complex features. Prepares proposals for new work, including scope and budget. Prepare or review construction budgets based on experience and scope of project. Interacts with Project Managers to organize work, maintain project schedule and budget, and to resolve design conflicts and issues. Makes independent decisions on engineering problems and methods. Performs calculations and may be assigned to check the work of others. Works with design engineers, designers, drafters, and others in preparing reports and complete design packages. Familiar with the use of engineering software AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Proposal manager for QA Level 2 and 3 projects. May approve level of effort estimates for discipline as assigned by Group Manager. May stamp work performed by others within discipline. Represents the company in the community by attending community events and belonging to service organizations. Work to meet or exceed QA standards. All other duties assigned by Manager. Education, Experience, and Skills Required Bachelor's Degree Licensed Professional Engineer May be a member of professional or technical society Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills 10-15 years of experience Civil Engineering with land development Project Management Stormwater, grading, sewer systems Personal characteristics needed to be successful in this role Self-Starter Organized Team player Multi-task Ability to plan schedule for the day Ability to work with other discipline Ability to work in a fast pace Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Relocation assistance Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Experience: Civil engineering: 10 years (Preferred) License/Certification: Professional Engineer License (Preferred) Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 10 - 15 years Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
