We are currently accepting applicants for the civilian jobs of Nursing Services - Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical/Vocational at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH), Fort Campbell, Kentucky!
+ Location to include inpatient or outpatient areas of Blanchfield Army Community Hospital to include outlying clinics on Fort Campbell Army Post and the outlying Community Medical Home
+ Contracted Nurses in the clinic setting will not be required to work on federal holidays and Nurses in the inpatient and emergency room setting will be required to work federal holidays
+ Out Patient Clinic hours of operation examples shifts are 0630-1500, 0730-1600, 1030-1930 and Saturdays 0730-1300
+ Inpatient and Emergency Room example shifts are 0700-1900, 1900-0700, and 0900-2100

Additional recommended tasks if/when assigned to Labor and Delivery Unit: Serves as a member of the surgical team in the delivery room by performing scrub technician and first assist duties for emergent and scheduled cesarean sections, tubal ligations, cerclage placement and removal, and dilatation and curettage (D&C's). Sets up a sterile field with instruments and supplies that will be used for the procedure. Adds or subtracts equipment as per the surgeon's preference. During surgery, anticipates the surgeon's needs and provides the proper equipment and or supplies for each step of the procedure. Calls attention to potentially dangerous situations that would harm the patient, contaminate the sterile field or harm other staff members. Assist with the movement of the patient during and after surgery. Gathers, sorts and disposes of the linen, trash, needles and instrument carts to include cleaning the instruments used in the procedure in accordance with the established procedures.
Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
+ Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or
vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the
following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League
for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
+ One year of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation.
+ Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse.
+ Associates Degree of Nursing.
+ Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting
Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
+ One year of experience in nursing as identified in the TO after graduation.
+ Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
