Salary: $17-$20/hr (depending on type of service) plus incentives and bonuses

JOB TITLE: Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

JOB SUMMARY: We are hiring full-time drivers to help out in various services such as transporting patients and other clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Be over the age of 21 (licensed for 5 years)
2. Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License
3. Must NOT have more than 2 moving violations within 3 years
4. Must pass DOT drug screening, and a mandatory criminal background check
5. Must be available to work 32 to 40 hours a week, 5 days a week (potentially on weekends) 
6. Must be COVID-19 vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated
7. Must be physically able to secure clients in wheelchairs or other devices
8. Must have a positive attitude and compassion to help others

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Establish transparent communication with dispatch. 
2. Utilize a smartphone fully. 
3. Complete Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
4. Transport clients using a company vehicle safely and securely. 
5. Potentially do rotational on-call trips: One night and one weekend (either Saturday or Sunday).
6. Perform any other duties as assigned. 

HIRING PROCESS:

1. Submit your application.
2. Get a job shadow invitation via text or email within the week.
3. Attend the job shadow and send a photo of your Social Security Card and Washington Driver’s License to hr@gomedstar.com for background checking.
4. Once cleared, we will send the link for drug screen completion to your email address.
5. Complete Google classroom training, fingerprints and other paperwork.
6. Complete a 6-day Training in Vehicle with one of our trainers in your assigned area (paid - basic rate).
7. Get signed off and start driving!
