REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:
The Medina County District Library is seeking a Community Engagement Clerk to assist with publicizing library programs and events by creating and distributing public relations materials, participating in library activities and promoting the library to the community. Ability to accurately compare quotes and place orders for the department.
Possess high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in merchandising, graphic design, or public relations with an ability in layout and desktop publishing is preferred; word processing software and desktop publishing software required; ability to communicate and interact effectively with co-workers, patrons, and vendors. Demonstrate aptitude for detailed and creative work and ability in design and layout. Possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion with accommodation.
WAGE: $11.62 per hour; Grade 2
BENEFITS: Prorated sick leave, vacation and other benefits based on Union contract; Public Employees Retirement System
HOURS: Part time; 20 hours per week; daytime Monday-Friday
OTHER: Union Position
