Medicom is seeking an individual with strong accounting, process and business skills to join the company as its Financial Controller. In addition to the responsibilities for the accounting and financial operations of the business, the individual will work closely with the revenue operations, sales, and customer success teams to manage the revenue engine of the Company. This individual will also collaborate with the executive management team to analyze department finances, create, and manage budgets that align with the companyâ€™s objectives, and manage financial reporting.
This position includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Maintain ownership of the company's accounting system and champion process improvements, including integration with other key systems.
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reconciliations, roll-forwards and schedules for financial reporting and audit purposes.
Oversee the company's treasury function, including cash disbursements.
Provide financial models and dashboards with analysis on revenue, expenses, cash flow, and headcount trends, including variances of actual vs. budget.
Help to establish and maintain strong accounting policies and effective internal controls.
Manage the annual audit process and collaborate with external auditors for technical accounting compliance in accordance with ASC 606.
Oversee the revenue accounting process, includes reading and interpreting contracts, managing the bookings process, and resolving ad hoc issues.
Research client issues and work cross functionally to resolve.
Lead the coordination and activities of independent auditors and the preparation of the annual financial statements, tax filings and other regulatory reporting.
Strong adaptability and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
8+ years of experience in an accounting, revenue, or financial management role in SaaS field.
Demonstrated experience managing a lean accounting organization in a growth environment.
Working knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition proununcments such as ASC 606 as it pertains to contracts with multiple revenue elements/deliverables.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online, Salesforce.com, ERP and other financial support systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
CPA strongly preferred.
Bachelorâ€™s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
