MTM, Inc. continues to grow and we are seeking a Compliance Coordinator!

The Compliance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring MTM’s overall contractual compliance; partnering with various departments throughout the organization to develop and implement long-term compliance solutions, including a close relationship with our Audit and review team.  Compliance is monitored through potential Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) investigations, facilitates member and liquidated damage appeals, and oversees the performance improvement plan (PIP) process for transportation providers.  The Compliance Coordinator will also act as a liaison to external auditors as they review operational processes, policies and procedures, and contract management functions.

This position is located at our office in Boston, MA.


  • Read and comprehend contract documents
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of how contract verbiage and requirements should be applied to the operational processes of the organization
  • Create contractual compliance monitoring tools and matrixes
  • Utilize large datasets to identify potential compliance deficiencies
  • Document and report audit findings
  • Communicate and/or present audit findings to various stakeholders
  • Develop project plans and tracking mechanisms to correct any identified deficiencies
  • Provide recommendations for systematic internal controls and process changes to ensure ongoing compliance for corrected deficiencies
  • Proactively identify, prevent, and report potential FWA; trend FWA to strengthen MTM’s FWA prevention program
  • Develop and/or utilize FWA tracking tools for reporting purposes, compiling investigation results and to conduct transportation provider focus audits
  • Investigate and provide determinations to all member appeals and State Fair Hearing requests in accordance with contractual obligations using MTM and client protocols
  • Facilitate the pre-assessment and liquidated damage process by investigating and responding to pre-assessment review requests and liquidated damage appeals using contractual documents to determine their accuracy
  • Trend all liquidated damage and member appeals to identify focus areas for improvement
  • Write transportation provider PIPs using focus audit results and contractual documentation, and distribute them to pertinent MTM representatives
  • Oversee PIP process for transportation providers by monitoring the dissemination of PIPs to transportation providers and the progress made by transportation providers while actively on PIPs
  • Complete follow-up audits to ensure deficiencies have been corrected
  • Assist with other internal projects and tasks as needed
  • Act as back-up to co-workers as required
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and systematic/methodical approach to projects

  • Basic to intermediate understanding of data base/system concepts and/or design
  • Ability to complete basic to intermediate data analysis and trending
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Occasional travel to client meetings or MTM field locations may be required
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Regular attendance is required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Typing speed of 30 WPM
  • Knowledge of Microsoft systems such as Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Previous experience in contract compliance and/or operational auditing role preferred
  • Basic understanding of SQL and/or XML preferred
  • Knowledge of managed care and Quality Assurance systems and processes preferred
