The Inclusion Health Clinic at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a primary care physician with experience and passion for providing care to LGBTQ individuals. MCW?s Inclusion Health Clinic, opened in 2018, is a multi-specialty LGBTQ-focused clinic on the MCW campus. Due to high demand for the clinic?s services in its first year, we are seeking to add a compassionate and dedicated primary care provider to our clinic and to the faculty at MCW. Clinical scope will include general primary care, gender -affirming hormone therapy, and provision of HIV PrEP. Competency in working with transgender, gender expansive patients, and people of color will be highly regarded among candidates for this position.
In addition to direct patient care, the successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to supervise MCW residents, medical students, and pharmacy students in the clinic. There will also be many opportunities to teach about LGBTQ-related and other health topics within MCW?s academic programs, in the nearly 40 Froedtert & MCW primary care and other outpatient clinics, and at community outreach events in Milwaukee. Additional teaching and/ or supervisory roles within the applicant?s specialty department at MCW may also be available. Faculty members also have the opportunity to engage in research, if desired. MCW has multiple institutionally-supported funding opportunities available.
Candidates must have completed a residency in either Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics, and be eligible for a Wisconsin medical license.
The Inclusion Health Clinic currently consists of 6 providers, including Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, and Psychiatry. We provide affirming, comprehensive, and coordinated care to patients from throughout Wisconsin and neighboring states. Services include general primary care, gender-affirming hormone therapy, HIV treatment and prevention services supported by case managers, gynecologic care, endocrine specialty care, psychiatric care and psychotherapy. Additional care, such as gender-affirming voice training, and facial and body procedures are available within the Froedtert Health system.
