Sr Director or VP Brand Communications for Media Agency

Job Description

 A marketing, media and communications agency that offers advisory services and guides and advises clients to move quickly and more efficiently with their branding, marketing and media decisions needs to hire a Sr. Director or VP of Brand Communications. With offices in Los Angeles and New York, the agency has rapidly built out much of its operating group, and several advisory clients, including Pepsi, T-Mobile among others.

 

Main Account – Fashion Retail (60-70% of time)

  • Client and communications lead
  • Ongoing brand strategy counsel and ideation for various initiatives (i.e. Kids, Men, Vintage, celeb talent, BLM, etc.)
  • Creation and execution of ongoing communications plans that provide PR support for various priorities/initiatives as they come up (non-product related) – i.e. virtual fashion show, menswear, kids, BLM, swimwear, etc.
  • Narrative and brand message house development for various brands
  • Ongoing creation of results-driven marketing and public relations programs that fit into the client's overall objectives
  • Development of marketing/activation calendar to align cultural moments with brand/product initiatives
  • In depth knowledge of social media space and how to leverage different platforms to amplify and tell a story
  • Ongoing press material development (pitches, releases, FAQs, fact sheet, etc.) for various initiatives as needed (no-product related)
  • Ongoing creation of customized key media targets specific to specialized client programming
  • Ongoing media support to applicable client sub brands
  • Ongoing press relationship building and key media product seeding

 

Additional Account – Automobile Industry (pending confirmation of agency selection - if selected, 40% of time)

 

  • Ongoing PR counsel for client portfolio.
  • PR lead for various client launches
  • Ongoing creation of results-driven marketing and public relations programs that fit into the client's overall objectives
  • Ongoing press material development (pitches, releases, FAQs, fact sheet, etc.) for various initiatives as needed (no-product related)
  • Ongoing press relationship building
  • Coordinating with media on coverage and attendance for various client events (i.e. ride and drives, etc)

Additional Account – Cannabis Company (10-15% of time)

  • PR support (as needed) for special projects
  • Participation in brainstorms for various client brands as needed.
  • Media pitching to consumer lifestyle media as needed for new product launches or programs (i.e. SXSW activation)

New Business

  • Participation in brainstorms for new business opportunities as needed and working with Biz Dev team on pitch angle development
